Your mission

In this position, you lead the growth of our innovation hub and its strategic vision and operational execution while fostering a culture of innovation, collaboration, and continuous improvement. You develop and manage the budget and additional future teams, ensuring efficient resource allocation and expenditure control. Driving consistency and transparency with a customer-centric approach across our project portfolio is also on your agenda and, you oversee software development programs, ensuring alignment with business units and strategic goals.

Included in your responsibility:

• Ensuring efficiency in daily operations; streamlining processes, managing resources and budgets effectively.
• Lead AI-driven engineering practices, encourage exploring of new technologies, and drive productive development in collaboration with BU roadmaps.
• Maintaining accurate documentation and ensure compliance with relevant regulations and that we conduct business in a safe and sustainable manner.

As a true Sandvik leader you act as a role model and realize the value collaboration and continuous learning provides – guiding high-performing development teams and promoting Sandvik’s values. Acting in a decentralized environment, you collaborate with global Sandvik leaders and business units as well as form strong networks with external stakeholders to align activities with business goals.

The location for this position is Pune, India where you’re an active and present leader, and you report to the Vice President and Chief Technology Officer of SMF. International travel is expected.

Your profile

You have a strong background in managing large-scale development centers – preferably within a global or multi-national context and in manufacturing software context – with a focus on customer driven innovation, business agility and cross functional collaboration. Your background contains working in a matrix structure and managing cross-functional teams. With confidence in yourself you’re a business force in the vibrating India market and establish partnerships with regional universities. As you’re acting in a truly global environment, your English skills must be excellent.

You’re flexible, open and welcoming to change and thrive in a constantly evolving environment. You have an executive presence, a positive can-do attitude combined with a self-motivated and proactive way of working. A passion for research and analysis really comes in handy and you’re highly skilled in efficiently analyzing data and translating this into actionable insights for informed decision-making. You have no problem in working independently while being open to guidance and support by stakeholders.
